Tender, flavorful shredded chicken slow-cooked with a tangy and sweet barbecue sauce for a simple, crowd-pleasing dinner.

2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce

3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp brown sugar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1.Place chicken breasts in a 6-quart slow cooker.

2.Whisk together BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and black pepper.

3.Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.

4.Cook on low for 3-4 hours.

5.Serve as is or shred using two forks.

6.Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Use your favorite BBQ sauce.

Chicken breasts should be fully thawed before cooking.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
