Tender bone-in chicken legs tossed in a savory spice blend and cooked to crispy perfection in an air fryer.

4–6 chicken legs, skin-on and bone-in

1–2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground if possible

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

1.Pat chicken legs dry with paper towels and let air-dry for 10 minutes.

2.Combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

3.Toss chicken legs in the oil and spice mixture until evenly coated.

4.Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 to 5 minutes.

5.Place chicken legs skin-side down in the basket without overcrowding.

6.Air fry at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through at 10 minutes.

7.Check that internal temperature reaches 165°F using a meat thermometer.

8.Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
