2 medium chicken breast, or 1 pound
1 teaspoon EACH salt, garlic powder, or oregano
1/2 teaspoon EACH black pepper, chili powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup butter, divided
3-4 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon crushed pepper
3-4 cups broccoli florets, or broccolini
1/4 cup water or chicken stock
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1.Cut chicken breasts in half horizontally to make 4 pieces. Season both sides with salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and chili powder.
2.Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter and the chicken breasts. Cook 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3.Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and crushed pepper flakes to the pan. Stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
4.Add broccoli florets, water, and lemon juice. Cook for 2-3 minutes until broccoli is tender.
5.Return chicken to the pan, garnish as desired, and serve immediately.
Cut chicken to uniform thickness for even cooking.
